About Us:

Jason Destein, Founder and Director of Violence Prevention Strategies at We Are Securable LLC, brings over 30 years of security industry experience and has one unshakable goal: preventing targeted acts of violence before they occur. As a board-certified security executive and Adjunct Professor of Criminology, I’ve worked across every level of the field—on the ground, in leadership, in the classroom, and now, through intelligent tools that empower prevention.

What drives me is more than credentials. It’s a deep belief that prevention is possible—and that it shouldn't be limited to the most resourced teams or agencies. I’ve witnessed firsthand how fragmented information, siloed decision-making, and reactive thinking can cost lives. I’ve also seen the power of clear processes, trusted collaboration, and structured behavioral insight to change outcomes for the better.

That’s why I created Threatalytics AI—a cognitive overlay designed to support threat assessment teams in real time, not replace them. It’s built for front-line professionals who are tasked with difficult decisions under pressure. It helps them structure case logic, align to national standards, and illuminate the critical behaviors that may otherwise go unnoticed.

From K-12 schools and universities to critical infrastructure and executive protection, my mission is to make threat assessment accessible, defensible, and adaptable—no matter your resources, role, or region.

Whether I’m mentoring future security leaders, designing tools to close the capability gap, or facilitating tabletop scenarios that push teams to think ahead, I’m committed to building a culture of first preventers, not just first responders.
